| those rotated gt30's, are they straight bolt on to a factory up pipe? i.e the exhaust housing has the a subie flange already rotated so you only need to worry about the downpipe?
Or are they just listed as rotated because they wont fit in a factory position?

| No sorry the GT range aren't bolt ons. All of the SC range is, can go up to a SC54 billet which in testing netted 528.6hp on vpower @4500rpm. Can get the SC billet range right down to a 16g sized wheel | |

| If you factor the cost of a gt3076r or 3071r, external wastegate and exhaust fabrication, it's actually good bang for buck.
I want a 3076 billet (is that the xtr?), non bolt on. I'm sitting down...

RCM turbos have proved to be a little higher than this... (not comparing products, just UK vs NZ). Also need to bear in mind VPower is a much better fuel than 98

| Just to clarify - Im am comparing the Dyno Dynamics dyno (UK) to a Torque performance NZ dyno. Both being roller based dynos.
Which is the dyno scoobyclinic use. Luckly they have also put up WHP figures
In the UK they love at the engine power figures. From what i understand with DD dynos they make a horsepower at the wheels figure. (WHP) then they correct it by a simple ratio about 1.27x and like magic u get a horsepower at the engine figure.
Quite a few people think the horsepower figure is probably over reading. But as long as its consistant it doesn't really matter.
To convert to our kw at the wheels std.
BHP / 1.27 = WHP and to convert back into KW divide that by 1.33.
As with any dyno comparision its never going to 100% accurate but it gives you an idea. From a coupla examples it seems to be not far off.
I would say a high proportion of the cars running these sort of turbos in the UK are not running straight petrol. Most are using some form of octane booster so your talking over 100 octane. That probably gives you gains of 5-10%
Most of the UK turbos are rated conservatively / realistically / honestly on what the average car will make - not the the absolute maximum that the turbo has made.
For example a turbo rated at 450/460hp has made 500hp.

| There's still some funky arithmetic going on...
400hp = 298kW
450hp = 336kW
1hp = 0.746kW
1kW = 1.341hp | |
